TO CONSIDER BEFORE COMMITTING TO A GUINEA PIG AS A PET -
Guinea pigs have specialist needs. They need vitamin C daily in the form of fresh veggies and fruit, lots of hay and "guinea pig" food - NOT rabbit food. Guinea-pigs can live to be 8 years old, sometimes more!, so careful consideration needs to be taken when thinking about a guinea pig as a pet, as goes with any other animal.
Guinea pigs do NOT do well outdoors in the Winter, though a shed or unused garage will suit them fine providing it is not draughty or leaky. Piggies can also be kept indoors and become a true part of family life if kept like this.
I reserve the right to refuse to home guinea pigs to anyone I feel unsuitable.
I will not home to anyone under 18 years of age unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
Any babies needing homes will be ready to leave when I say they are ready, and I may push the date back if I think they need more time.
I do not home pigs individually unless they are going to a home that already has others as they are social animals and need to be kept in pairs or more, though I do appreciate that long-haired show stock will be kept alone for the duration of their "show-life"
I do not home piggies to go to live with rabbits.

These two are sisters but completely different. Their Mother is Dream (on my pet sows page) and their Father is Rodney - a silver agouti and white aby cross. They have Merino history on both sides hence the Texel-look of the top sow and the rex-type hair on the bottom sow. The bottom sow has dark red, almost black eyes
