This is an x-ray of Tia. The situation under which the x-ray was taken was not the nicest - she was a rescue that came to me already pregnant and had problems giving birth. I ended up at an emergency vet surgery instead of my work's Summer party - what we do for our piggies, eh. She had 3 and then stopped so was x-rayed to check for any more. The fourth baby is low down towards her pelvis - you can see the curve of its back.
This x-ray clearly shows the open pelvic bones that, when new to guinea pigs, can be difficult to find.
Tia lived a further two and a half years after this
